DMOs Bringing Travel into People’s Homes with Custom Zoom Backgrounds

April 7, 2020 Stuart McLachlan

With the world staying home, many of us are having to adapt to working remotely and communicating with our colleagues and friends through video conferencing services like Zoom.

One great feature of Zoom is that you can set a ‘virtual background’ for your call, so you can appear in whatever setting you choose.

At CrowdRiff, we took the chance to create our own custom Zoom backgrounds, but we haven’t been the only ones!

Destination marketers have been quick to spot this trend and create stunning photo backgrounds of their destinations that anyone can download and use.

Our VP of Marketing, Amrita Gurney, has already been using virtual backgrounds from CrowdRiff customers to travel all over the world!

Using these backgrounds is easy (here’s instructions from Zoom), and offers a fun way to support the destinations you love and show some local pride.

We collected some of our favorites in the list below.
